Stock FXR axle adjusters are small eyelets welded to a stud. Due to the small surface area, your swing arm can dent or "mushroom" in. After the swingarm is damaged, while making minor axle adjustments then torquing the axle, it will try to fall back into the damaged area. This will then leave the axle improperly adjusted causing driveline misalignment, handling conditions, and potential damage to other components.
