
TWIN CAM FXR CONVERSION KIT
The new main cross member is designed to also provide clearance for the oil pan. We include two alternatives (both pictured). One is the most common the "Wrap Around" style which will allow you to service your oil pan without removing any other parts on the motorcycle such as the rear wheel, but still sitting low enough to protect the oil bag from speed bumps, curbs, etc. The tubing is a .120" wall DOM used with two gussets. Option two being the removable plate. This basically goes in place of the stock cross member but stronger and removable, again to allow service the transmission oil pan. This option retains an OEM look. Both are included, you can use either or both, your choice.
For foot controls, removing the factory left side boxed mount is NOT required but the right peg mount is as it will come out when removing the OEM center cross member and kickstand mount. In its place, this kit includes a left and right side Dyna foot control mounts which are radius cut on the backsides for a nice centered fit on your frame rail. They are threaded to accept Dyna mid controls, opening many more options for brake arms.
We also include a plate to fill the void where the oil bag used to live and a top cap for the front engine stabilizer link mount. The oil bag filler plate is solid and can be used to mount many things on the inside such as a coil or wiring accessories. The stabilizer mount top cap is a nice touch to clean up the look of the OEM stabilizer link mount to the frame.

We recommend this kit is installed by a professional. (We can do it for you!) The kit will take much of the guess work out however, it is always recommended that you properly mock up your powertrain and all desired components you intend to run PRIOR to installing the kit components to verify fitment/clearance.
